My name is Ben Pfeiffer, and I am the co-editor of Beecher’s at the University of Kansas, where I am an MFA Candidate in Fiction. My writing has appeared or is forthcoming in The Rumpus, The Faster Times, The Moon City Review, and Flyway: Journal of Writing and Environment. I am currently writing my first novel. You can find all about my projects, future events, and forthcoming writing on this page.
I have also collaborated on two projects with Andrew Paul Jackson, serving as librettist for Grigorii Efimovich: The Memory of Liars and as co-translator for ”And This Will Be All.” The first, a one-act opera, premiered at the Boston Conservatory; “And This Will Be All,” a Carl Sandburg poem, was translated into Russian and set to music. It first premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia, performed by The Moscow Chamber Orchestra (conducted by Constantine Orbelian). You can listen to excerpts from the music on Andrew’s official site.
